In their words

What employers tell us

For us, this represents of everything that we’ve done in apprenticeship levy transfer, the biggest single transfer that we’ve done to date, £580,000 on one cohort of apprentices who are teachers who are then learning critical digital skills that they can use to instill that culture within the generation that will come into the workforce in the 2030s for our country.

Ian Brown Early Careers, Lloyds Bank

So far I’ve been introduced to the benefits of AI, and to new ICT possibilities for a more effective workforce and operational systems, bringing time saving capabilities and aiming to improve work effectiveness.

FAQs

What employers ask us first

Funding, timescales, management time and what happens at the end.

How does apprenticeship funding work for businesses?

If you pay the Apprenticeship Levy, you can use your contributions directly. If not, the government covers 95% of training costs, leaving you to pay just 5%.

How quickly can we bring an apprentice on board?

We can usually recruit and place apprentices within six to eight weeks, depending on programme availability and candidate fit.

Can apprenticeships upskill existing staff, or only new hires?

Both. You can hire new apprentices or enrol current employees to develop their digital and leadership skills.

How much time will our managers need to invest?

Minimal. We provide mentoring, training and regular progress reviews. Your managers simply support day-to-day integration.

What happens after an apprenticeship finishes?

Many businesses retain their apprentices, benefiting from loyal, well-trained employees who already understand your organisation.
