Why Primary Goal

Capability that stays after the training ends

Most digital training decays within a term. Ours is built to compound, because it is anchored in the work people already do and coached over months, not delivered in a single INSET session.

  • Future-focused training

Programmes evolve alongside technology and industry demand, so what your people learn this year still matters the next.

  • Trusted partnerships

We build programmes with schools and employers rather than at them, which is why they survive contact with a real timetable.

  • Proven outcomes

Over 1,000 apprentices trained across the UK, and an Ofsted judgement of Good in every single category.

  • Flexible delivery

Blended learning designed around term time and shift patterns. No full day release, no timetabling nightmare.

Who we work with

How it works

From first conversation to evidenced impact

No lengthy procurement theatre. Here is what actually happens, and roughly when.

  • Tell us where the gap is

A short conversation about capability, not a sales pitch. We map what you need against what funding will actually cover.

  • We shape the programme

Cohorts, start dates and delivery patterns built around your operational reality, whether that is term time or a shift rota.

  • Delivery and coaching begin

Live sessions, self-paced modules and monthly one-to-one coaching. We provide 40% of the off-the-job hours ourselves.

  • Impact you can evidence

Regular progress reviews, a portfolio built from real work, and End Point Assessment support all the way through.

All testimonials

Primary Goal’s apprenticeship training is excellent. Our apprentices are developing into digital champions who actively support colleagues, model effective use of technology, and provide solutions that improve efficiency across the school. This has directly enhanced staff confidence in using digital platforms and improved the digital learning experience for pupils. Liz’s confidence and expertise have grown significantly, and she now plays a central role in shaping our digital learning strategy, directly impacting teaching quality and pupil outcomes.

Paul Scales Church Lawton School

The support we have received from Primary Goal has been exceptional. From the very beginning, they have taken the time to understand our Trust, our values, and the ambitions behind our wider workforce pledge. That deep understanding has shaped the way they have guided us, ensuring that the apprenticeships offered are not just generic programmes but are genuinely tailored to the needs of our staff and the realities of school life.

Aimee Williams Three Spires Trust

For us, this represents of everything that we’ve done in apprenticeship levy transfer, the biggest single transfer that we’ve done to date, £580,000 on one cohort of apprentices who are teachers who are then learning critical digital skills that they can use to instill that culture within the generation that will come into the workforce in the 2030s for our country.

Ian Brown Early Careers, Lloyds Bank

We’re using the digital champions to develop each individual school’s digital strategy, share best practice across the trust, learn from each other so that we can really build and affect our digital strategy through our greatest assets which are our people.

Chris Moody CFO, Delta Education Trust

The impact of our staff carrying out an apprenticeship has been huge. It’s been a really positive experience. The knowledge and the experiences that staff have had have been cascaded and shared with other staff and has improved their professional development. It’s also been really useful for other leaders in the school who have had the opportunity to develop and implement other software and technologies to enable them to work in more effective ways.

Rosemarie Patrick Principal

The support from Primary Goal has been amazing. I have a brilliant tutor who is there at any point I need them. They’re great with advice, when you hand in an assignment they give you feedback on it. It has been a really pleasurable experience to be part of the Digital Champion Apprenticeship Programme.

Nicci Sawdy St Pauls Catholic Primary School

Through my work on the apprenticeship programme to become a digital champion, I have been able to upskill myself in so many different areas. It’s not just been about improving my use of tech and skills, but it’s also supported me to look at my leadership skills and my wider working skills.
